We play roots music centered on Texas and Louisiana traditions, including rockabilly and vintage rock. Our inspirations include Buddy Holly, Little Walter, Huey “Piano” Smith, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Roy Orbison. We have been playing together for nearly 20 years in various Austin venues, as well as in New York City and Washington, D.C.
It’s been a WhoDo tradition to invite musicians we admire to jam with us, and we’ve been fortunate to have played with some of the greats, such as Marcia Ball, Floyd Domino, Lazy Lester, Johnny Gimble, Derek O’Brien, Marco Perella, fiddle phenom Ruby Jane—even David Remnick.
